The President of All Nepal Federation of Trade Unions closer to ruling party, Mr. Jagat Simkhada has appealed all the leaders and members of the affiliated unions to involve in rescue efforts of the flood victims across the nation.
In a brief meeting held on 12 July in ANTUF secretariat, Mr. Simkhada showed his deepest concerns over the crucial situations the flood victims are facing in different districts in Nepal and urged all the members to make ultimate contribution in rescue and rehabilitation efforts carried out in their respective districts. He reiterated that the natural disaster at the backdrop of the widespread corona virus (Covid-19) has further aggravated the plight of people across the nation.
The incessant rain occurring in past few days have caused massive flood and landslides affecting hundreds and thousands of people across the nation. Till today, the flood has taken life of more than 50 people across the nation and rescue efforts are under way to find missing individuals across the nation.
